Recent data from the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada Las Vegas shows that the best neighborhoods to sell a home are in North Las Vegas and off the Las Vegas Beltway in the southwest corner  of the city.

Results are based on a study of total home sales by zip code during the third quarter of 2006.  If you live in the zip code 89031, then your home would be the easiest to sell.  Over 400 homes were sold in this zip code during the third quarter, the only neighborhood to reach the 400 milestone.

Several neighborhoods got above a total of 300 homes sold during the quarter.  Northwest Las Vegas and the area south of Summerlin near the I-215 Beltway all saw excellent sales.

Summerlin and Henderson were both below 300 homes for every zip code in the area, with some neighborhoods seeing less than 200 total sales for the quarter.

The housing market in the Las Vegas valley is currently suffering from one of the highest foreclosure rates in the country.  Buyers looking for deals in the next few months may find many Homes for Sale in Las Vegas, Nevada that are offered at prices not seen in several years.
