andywarhol_010608.jpgFollowing in the footsteps of Levi Strauss & Co. (the first denim brand to use the Andy Warhol prints in their ?Warhol Factory X? denim collection a couple of years ago), Pepe Jeans London is creating a 250-piece denim and accessory collection inspired by Andy Warhol’s artistic style.

The Andy Warhol Collection by Pepe will consist of two separate collections ? Pop and Factory (it all sounds a bit Sienna Miller, doesn?t it?) ? and will include both men and women?s looks.

Pop will draw on Andy?s iconic pop images such as the Campbell’s Soup Cans and The Two Marilyns, and Factory will be based more on his personal style. Think Edie Sedgwick and Candy Darling.

For me, the highlight of the collection is the graphic denim dresses in A-line shapes, all approved by the Andy Warhol Foundation, of course. You can expect flowery prints, bright colours and funky graphics.

Sadly it will only be available in Europe (this seems to be the latest trend amongst collaborators), so if you?re from out of town you might be spending a bit more on these pieces than your average pair of Pepe?s.

Who doesn?t love one-stop shopping? Gap Inc. recently announced that online shoppers will be able to make purchases from all of the stores under their umbrella - Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Piperlime ? and combine shipping costs at one flat rate of $7!

After hearing the news, I decided to check out Gap.com and was impressed by how seamlessly you can shop around and navigate through the different stores while keeping a running tally in the same cart.

And for those of you who haven?t shopped on Piperlime before, definitely check it out. I did some ?e-window shopping? for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed by the wide selection of designer shoes and handbags (from mid-to-high end) that they carry. Plus, they offer free S&H and free returns. Very dangerous indeed.

When I think of vacation, an image of the beach and clear blue waters comes to mind. It doesn?t get much better than laying out by the ocean (with loads of SPF on of course) with a good book in one hand and a daquiri in the other. Now that it?s officially beach season, I?m on the search for a couple of cute caftans to throw into my suitcase as cover-ups.

This Generra caftan dress in a bright tangerine colour would be absolutely perfect for the many beach excursions I?m planning for this summer. In a breezy cotton-voile fabric with an eye-catching print, it’s vibrant, stylish and easy to throw on over a bathing suit for an afternoon stroll or while grabbing a bite to eat. $225 also available in black at Shopbop.com.

Recently added to my all-consuming and ever-growing skirt collection/ addiction (depending on your point of view….) is a high waisted, button through pale denim number which I have literally not removed from my little legs for seven days.

This shape, with the buttons that run down the front and the apron-style triangle silhouette is not only inherently 70s ( trend de jour, of course) but joyfully flattering. Why, the perfect combination.

I love my pale denim version, as it makes me think of never-ending highways and dusty roads, tarnished signs and whisky while a guitar strums in the back of an old battered car.

There are, however, plenty of printed cotton versions with similar buttons all over the high street which scream sunlit days and look just right with everything from your favourite t-shirt to a flirty blouse.

For a more authentic vibe, scour second hand shops for countless rails of suede and cord versions that scream out for tassled leather bags and a bit of Hendrix in the background.
