I have been expanding my willingness to share more of the things I create. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums. So I decided a name chage was due. I will still be making jewelry along with other things. All of my craftiness will be being sold under my new studio name, Spiraling Elements Studio! It is a much better fit for me and my work. Don’t worry this jewelry in wire blog isn’t going anywhere! I will be closing www.jewelryinwire.etsy.com at some point in the future. I have opened a new etsy shop www.SpiralingElements.etsy.com.  I’m working on creating a new line of jewelry to better reflect myself and my style. All the new jewelry will be up for sale at the new etsy shop.

Picture keepsake tiles are here! These polymer clay tiles can be made into jewelry, key chains and more. I have made a sample for you to enjoy.

This is a photo tile key chain. I have three cute kids and this give me away to remember just how cute they were when they were small. Since this is a key chain I use steel wire. For jewelry pieces customers can choose between 14k gold filled wire, sterling silver wire and copper wire.   If you are interested in ordering please email me at jewelryinwire@live.com

This is a lapis cabochon wrapped in sterling silver. I got brave and used some of my silver wire.  I only had 26 gage. I thing that with 28 gage I could get the wraps to be tighter.

I have a hard time making earrings. Not because they are hard, but just because I don’t always  enjoy them. lol. I tried to come up with something I hadn’t made before using up some of my supplies. What do you think?

After reading another jewelry artist’s blog Something Sublime, I went and bought myself some steel wire. The Home Depot didn’t have a great selection, but I got some 24 gage, 28 gage, and 20 gage. The 20 is really to hard to work with but I tried it anyways. lol. I decided that I would try my hand at some jewelry inspired by Eni Oken

I must admit that I haven’t tried one of her tutorials yet, but I will be.

Here is my work in progress. It is stainless steel, paua shell and glass beads.

This one has a white howlite cabochon.

I have been working on some new designs.  In the future I will be writing how-tos. So until then just enjoy looking at these! lol. If you would like to buy them let me know.

Between helping my Aunt put her anklets together I managed to complete one necklace. I bought the beads at a local store. I love the bright emerald colored glass beads. They look great with the the Tiger Eye round beads. I used sterling silver wire to create the crescent moon. I love it!

I have come back to jewelry as a real business again. I keep going back and forth with if I really want to have a jewelry business. I would really like to lead classes. I have been thinking about starting my own jewelry party business. Not joining a company, just doing my own think. Is it the right thing for me? How do I start? How much does it cost? Would anyone want to host one? This would possibly lead to what I really want to do is to own a shop with jewelry making and Yarn (knitting and Crochet) with room for classes, hanging out, and my workshops. The right stepping stone or a step in the wrong direction?

I add two new things to my etsy shop. These were items that appeared on the blog but not at the shop.

Well I had my own website for a few months. It was a bear to work with. I’m coming back once again to the ease of wordpress. I’ll be keeping my etsy shop. and going from there. This blog has a lot of catching up to do. My etsy shop could use an over haul too. lol.  I’m still having a hard time finding my jewelry making voice.  I’ll be posting thing from the old site that never made it here and all that soon.
